The Karkonosze Gliding Society has been created by the pilots and the instructors, members of the Jelenia Góra Air Club. The aim of the Society is to facilitate achievement of ambitious goals by our pilots, to help young pilots to gain experience in cross-country gliding and to further integrate our gliding community.

For years we have been active, reviving gliding competitions in the Valley of Jelenia Gora, known as Karkonosze Cup  played in summer and in autumn/winter wave scenery. Our pilots take their part in the National Champs and Grand Prix events.  They can be met at major international races like Pribina Cup in Nitra  or FCC Gliding in Prievidza, Slovakia, Czech Championships in Duo/Kombi class, friendly Pohar Sarafi in Dvur Kralove, or Olikovske Prehanky, CZ, not to mention numerous Polish events
